    Loews Kansas City Hotel offers opportunities at an 800-room hotel connected to the Kansas City Convention Center. Team members support 60,000 square feet of event space, dining outlets, an indoor lap pool and a prime downtown location near Power & Light, T-Mobile Center and the Streetcar.

    What We're Looking For:

    A friendly, efficient, and service-focused Barista who can deliver high-quality food and beverage service while maintaining accurate cash handling and a clean, inviting environment. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, provides warm and personalized guest service, and can multitask between beverage preparation, cashiering, and retail support.

    What You Will Do:

    Service & Cashiering

    • Greet guests in a warm, professional manner following Loews service standards.

    • Accurately record guest orders and enter them into the POS system.

    • Prepare and serve food and beverage items, following recipes, presentation standards, and timing guidelines.

    • Present accurate guest checks, process payments, and handle cash, charge cards, and room charges.

    • Complete end-of-shift revenue reports and cash deposits in accordance with hotel cashiering policies.

    • Maintain accountability for assigned bank, cash deposits, and all cash-handling procedures.

    • Ensure all service areas are fully stocked, organized, and properly maintained throughout the shift.

    • Inspect service ware and equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness for use.

    • Suggestively sell menu items to enhance the guest experience.

    • Monitor guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and ensure overall satisfaction.

    • Clear soiled items from service areas and assist with running food or beverages as needed.

    • Assist with preparation of food or beverage items as required.

    • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all service, storage, and public areas.

    • Assist with the presentation, stocking, and sale of retail products.

    • Rotate perishable items according to food safety practices and maintain accuracy in retail inventory.

    General Responsibilities

    • Promote and maintain teamwork at all times.

    • Notify leadership promptly of any issues, concerns, or unusual occurrences.

    • Follow all Loews safety regulations, sanitation standards, and emergency procedures.

    • Maintain grooming, uniform, and presentation standards.

    • Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and in excellent condition.

    • Recycle when possible and follow sustainability guidelines.

    • Remain up to date with hotel information, promotions, and operational changes.

    • Regular attendance in conformance with standards.

    • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.

    • Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Your Qualifications Include:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

    • Cash-handling experience preferred.

    • Basic computer and POS proficiency.

    • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a high-volume environment.
