About the Role

We are seeking a warm and energetic Barista to join the Savory team at one of our onsite business dining cafés.

In this client-facing role, you will prepare high-quality coffee and tea beverages, provide welcoming service, maintain food safety standards, and support daily café operations. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about coffee, attentive to guest needs, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation
  • Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, and tea to Savory standards.
  • Maintain consistent quality, presentation, and service speed.
  • Share coffee and tea knowledge with guests and team members.
Guest Service
  • Provide warm, professional, and attentive service.
  • Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Represent the Savory brand and hospitality standards.
Café Operations
  • Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary café and service areas.
  • Monitor inventory and communicate shortages.
  • Report equipment, technology, or service issues to the General Manager.
  • Support catering attendants and other team members as needed.
Job Requirements

Experience and Skills
  • At least two years of barista experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience using a manual espresso machine and brewing coffee and tea.
  • Strong customer-service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to think quickly and resolve guest concerns professionally.
  • Warm, dependable, and team-oriented approach.
  • New York Food Protection Certificate or willingness to obtain one within one month of hire.
Schedule and Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Availability to work daytime hours Monday through Friday, with occasional nights, weekends, or holidays.
