Join our team at our Oakland Location!
Position and Location: Part Time Barista Positions available at our Oakland Location, 25-30 hours/week. Monday through Friday, with an occasional Saturday.
Primary Purpose: Provides customers with exceptional service, handcrafted coffee and tea beverages and food, in a clean, comfortable and welcoming store environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly, personalized and professional manner
- Create and maintain a comfortable, clean and welcoming environment for coworkers and customers
- Prepare handcrafted, quality beverages and products by adhering to Tazza D’oro and SCAA standards
- Develop a deep knowledge and can speak on various store products, answer customers inquiries and make suggestions
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Available to work flexible hours which may include; early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- An ability to multitask and problem solve
- An ability to work as part of a team with a positive, energetic and resourceful attitude
- Punctuality, reliability
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for hours at a time
- Occasional lifting of 5-25 lb. boxes
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Skills/ Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience, in fast paced setting preferred.
- Barista experience with demonstrated proficiency in coffee and espresso preferred.
