As a Barista at Manjul Coffee & Roasters, you will play an important role in creating an exceptional experience for every guest. You will prepare coffee and other beverages with care, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and contribute to a welcoming, calm, and professional caf environment.

You will work alongside a team that values coffee quality, hospitality, consistency, and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include beverage preparation, customer engagement, caf operations, and supporting your fellow team members during busy service periods.

• Prepare specialty coffee beverages, filter coffee, tea, and other non-alcoholic drinks according to Manjul's quality standards.
  

• Develop an understanding of coffee, including flavor, extraction, brewing methods, and recipe consistency.
  

• Maintain attention to detail in espresso preparation, milk steaming, pour-over brewing, and other beverage techniques as applicable.
  

• Taste, evaluate, and learn from each coffee rather than relying solely on memorized recipes.
  

• Maintain clean, organized, and properly functioning coffee equipment and workstations.
  

• Pursue excellence in every cup, balancing quality, consistency, and efficiency.
  

• Welcome every guest with warmth, genuine attention, and respect.
  

• Create a thoughtful and personalized experience through attentive, calm, and professional hospitality.
  

• Communicate clearly with guests, answer menu and coffee-related questions, and offer recommendations when appropriate.
  

• Present beverages with care and attention to detail.
  

• Recognize that hospitality involves knowing when to engage, when to listen, and when simplicity is enough.
  

• Ensure every guest feels acknowledged, valued, and genuinely welcomed.
  

• Operate POS systems to process customer orders and retail transactions accurately and efficiently.
  

• Handle cash transactions responsibly and follow established cash-handling procedures.
  

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the caf .
  

• Assist with light food preparation and service in accordance with applicable food safety guidelines.
  

• Support team members during busy periods and contribute to a smooth service flow.
  

• Follow opening, closing, cleaning, and daily operational procedures.
  

• Acknowledge mistakes calmly, take responsibility, and correct them promptly.
  

• Work toward the success of the entire team rather than personal recognition.

• Previous barista, specialty coffee, restaurant, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
  

• Familiarity with POS systems, including Aloha POS or Micros POS, is a plus.
  

• Knowledge of food safety and beverage preparation is an advantage.
