Coffee Truck Barista & Customer Experience Specialist

Location: Washington, DC (Mobile Coffee Truck)

Pay: $18–$20 per hour + tips (Average earnings often exceed $22/hour)

Schedule:

  • Part-time or Full-time
  • Early mornings required
  • Typical start time: 5:30 AM
  • Weekend availability is a plus

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages
  • Welcome every customer with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Build relationships with customers and encourage repeat business
  • Help attract new customers through friendly, engaging interactions
  • Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately handle transactions
  • Set up and prepare the truck before opening
  • Keep the truck clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the day
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures

Experience

Preferred:

  • Barista or coffee shop experience
  • Retail, hospitality, restaurant, or customer service experience
  • Sales experience or experience building customer relationships

Not Required:
No barista experience? That’s okay. We can teach coffee. We can’t teach personality, work ethic, and a genuine love for serving people.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand for extended periods
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions
  • Able to work efficiently in a compact workspace
