Job Summary
Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. This position is located at MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII - KLIPPER SNCO BAR . Candidates selected for this position will serve as a BARTENDER A04*.
Major Duties
Mixes and serves premixed alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages from a full-service bar. Serves liquor, soda, beer, and wine. Prepares alcoholic drinks by selecting proper premix and garnish. Prepares garnishes for mixed drinks. Receives payment or charges to member¿s account. Makes change and is accountable for cash fund. Assists in taking inventory and maintaining records. Keeps bar area clean and keeps area always stocked properly. Washes bar equipment, glassware, and utensils. Ensures bar and dining room are in a presentable and sanitary condition by wiping tables and sweeping the floors. May also run food from the kitchen when needed. May perform other sanitation duties within assigned work area as required.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other related duties as required. (Must meet minimum age requirements.)
Qualifications
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to read and comprehend the English language and write legibly. Skill in preparing beverages according to name request from guests. Ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed. Knowledge of cash handling procedures.
Responsibility: Receives general instructions from supervisor. Independently performs duties according to standard operating procedures.
Physical Effort: Must walk or stand for prolonged periods of time. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance. Uses dolly to transport beer kegs.
Working Conditions: Works inside with adequate lighting, heat, and ventilation. Subject to cuts, bruises, and chapped hands.
