Located in the thick of the Domain's new entertainment district Rock Rose, Jack & Ginger's is the perfect place to chill with a happy-hour pint, or catch hours of endless soccer matches on the weekend.Job SummaryWe are looking for a professional, high-energy bartender with excellent communication skills to serve cocktails and exciting beverages to our customers. The bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages in a timely, polite fashion. You will also upsell items, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties for opening and closing. The bartending team is responsible for working with the utility team to ensure the bar is set up correctly including, putting out liquor bottles and back stock. Ensuring you have all necessities including pens, check presenters, straws, napkins, and everything else to set up the bar for success. To succeed as a bartender, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable Responsibilities
- Opening/Closing
- Bar cleanliness
- Fast and friendly service
- Accurately and efficiently enter orders into POS system
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
- Memorize specialty cocktails and shot recipes
Qualifications
- 2-5 years experience (preferred not required)
- Previous knowledge of food service regulations preferred
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification, or willing to obtain
- TABC Certification or willing to obtain
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills
- Works well with others
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
