Summary

The Hyatt Centric Key West Resort & Spa is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bartender to join our incredible team at Blue Mojito Bar, our vibrant waterfront destination located in the heart of Old Town Key West. Just steps from the lively Duval Street, Blue Mojito is known for its handcrafted cocktails, tropical atmosphere, and exceptional guest experiences.

Bartenders are responsible for providing libations and offering customized recommendations. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a deep knowledge of drink recipes, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, open-air environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean bar area, and ensuring a positive guest experience under outdoor conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers promptly and in a friendly manner.

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.

• Take orders accurately and efficiently.

• Check customers' identification to verify age requirements.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the outdoor bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment.

• Manage cash register and handle payments.

• Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol service.

• Restock bar inventory and supplies as needed.

• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.

• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies, including those specific to outdoor settings.

• Adapt to weather conditions while maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar role in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure, including in outdoor weather conditions.

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

• Certification in responsible alcohol service.

• Experience with POS systems.

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, work outdoors, and lift heavy items.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Typical shifts are 10am-6pm or 3pm-11pm
