Job Summary: The BARTENDER is responsible for offering prompt and courteous food and beverage service to our bar patrons. Additionally, this role will ensure the bar operates and drinks are produced with superior efficiency and quality.
Essential Functions: Must be willing and able to: Responsible for maintaining stock, preparing and storing of all garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality Present cocktail list to the guest, answer questions and make suggestions regarding cocktails. Coordinate completion of tasks with other members of the bar team Consistently maintain a clean and organized bar and service well Accurately input all orders into the restaurant Point of Sale system; present an accurate guest check, accept payment, and quickly complete the transaction Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items Maintains awareness of and compliance with all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic Accountabilities:Must be willing and able to: Be an active team player Follow supervisor’s instructions Perform under more than average stressful conditions Make appropriate judgment calls under stressful condition Maintain clean and orderly work area throughout shift and leave it ready for the following shift Acquire and wear appropriate uniform as prescribed in the training manual Maintain and clean uniform Maintain a well-manicured appearance and persona that reflects the established image of the restaurant Read and be accountable for the information in the Echo and Rig employee handbook Qualifications Standards: 2-4 years of bartending experience in food or beverage focused restaurant preferred Must be 21 years of age or older Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written) Must be willing and able to: Learn and effectively practice The 7 Intents Service Model Understand all menu items and effectively advise guests with allergies and food preferences of possible modifications Think critically provide solutions for guests Collaborate and contribute to a diverse service team Communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication Handle multiple priorities and tasks while under pressure Job Qualifications Knowledge and appreciation of food and cocktail culture and trends Must have extensive beer, wine, and spirit knowledge Superior knowledge of classic cocktails, all major spirit categories, and cocktail production techniques Ability to multi-task |
