Summary
Prepares alcohol & non-alcoholic drinks for guests while maintaining a warm hospitable atmosphere in the bar. Responsibly serves liquor to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the customers. Ensures that supplies and liquor inventory are kept secured and organized.

Job Duties
Prepares drinks to order using proper portions and recipes where applicable and ingredients for guests, cocktail waitresses, and dining room personnel.
Operates the cash register, gives change, distributes checks, keeps accurate records of change transactions. Operates blender and bar equipment.
Requisitions supplies, fruits and beverages necessary to stock the bar.
Maintains a respectful control over guests and cocktail waitresses at all times.
Is trained in Alcohol Awareness program and assists in ensuring all servers have received such training.
Must follow all applicable laws and regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
Assists in maintaining bar stocks. Responsible for cleanliness behind the bar, storage space, and equipment.
Resourceful with all beverages, fruits and supplies in order to maintain reasonable liquor costs.
Maintains good customer relations in a courteous and professional manner.
Arrange all bottles of alcohol and glassware to always maintain an attractive display.
Maintain cleanliness of the area by dusting, sweeping, mopping, and wiping down prep and service areas.
Additional duties may be added at any time at the discretion of management.
Consistently models the behavior of a Baywood Ambassador who:
Maintains a professional image, including grooming, verbiage, and body language, at all times.
Warmly greets both guests and coworkers (using the 10/5, first & last rule) every time they come in contact.
Actively listens to guests, responding appropriately to their questions and/or concerns. Seeks guidance and/or assistance from others to ensure satisfaction.
Fosters teamwork by offering assistance to others, as needed.
Continuously monitors the surroundings at work, in order to identify any cleanliness, safety, security, or building upkeep issues. Reports discrepancies to the proper department.
Contributes to a safe work environment by following proper safety guidelines in matters of attire, utilizing protective gear, and following safety procedures.
Recommends other Baywood properties to our guests, when appropriate.
Makes a genuine effort to identify and seize each golden opportunity to ‘WOW the guest!’ demonstrating our motto ‘It’s Better at Baywood!
Skills/Qualifications
Physical Demands:
Requires ability to stand/walk for the entire shift.
Bend, Stoop, Reach - often
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly, 70 lbs. occasionally.
Requires ability to perform light physical labor,
Environmental Conditions:
Inside: protection from weather conditions (75%), but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Outside labor is required (25%).
Essential Skills:
Must possess the ability to gain knowledge of applicable franchise standards and procedures.
Must have ability to complete applicable maintenance/housekeeping forms and to communicate any problems and/or unusual conditions to management
Must have ability to comprehend & execute the information Banquet Event Orders.
Must have the ability to positively communicate with guests and co-workers.
Must have the ability to work within scheduling guidelines.
Must be able to pass the Responsible Service of Alcohol test (TIPS) with a 90% or better score.
Educational/Vocational Preparation:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Ability to read and understand chemical labels, and Safety Data Sheets, Instructions.
