About the Role: As a Bartender at Charlie Gitto's, you'll run the bar like it's your own — crafting cocktails, pouring wine, taking care of bar guests, and supporting servers with drink tickets through a busy service. You'll be a face of the restaurant for our regulars and a key part of the energy that makes Charlie Gitto's feel like home.

What We're Looking For: We need a Bartender who blends speed, accuracy, and genuine hospitality. Our ideal candidate is someone who:

• Has prior bartending experience (high-volume or restaurant bar preferred)
• Knows classic cocktails cold and can build a solid drink list from memory
• Has working knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits — especially Italian varietals
• Moves efficiently behind the bar without sacrificing quality or guest connection
• Reads guests well and creates the kind of atmosphere people want to come back to
• Stays calm, organized, and accurate during peak service

What You'll Be Doing:

• Crafting cocktails, pouring wine and beer, and serving guests at the bar
• Taking food and drink orders from bar guests and delivering attentive service
• Managing service well tickets accurately and keeping pace with the floor
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout the shift
• Checking IDs and serving alcohol responsibly per Missouri law
• Handling cash and card transactions accurately
• Opening, closing, and side work — including stocking, restocking, and inventory
• Building relationships with regulars and creating memorable experiences for new guests

Requirements:

• Prior bartending experience preferred (restaurant or high-volume bar a plus)
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits
• Must be at least 21 years old (per Missouri law to serve alcohol)
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and cash-handling skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs (kegs, cases, ice)
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Alcohol service certification (TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or similar) a plus — or willingness to obtain
