THE JOB:
As a Bartender at MGM Grand, you will bring energy, personality, and exceptional service to every guest interaction. You will showcase your knowledge of menu offerings, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic selections while maintaining a polished and inviting bar environment. By connecting with guests, anticipating their needs, and delivering memorable service, you will help create the exciting, world-class experiences MGM Grand is known for.

THE STARTING RATE: $18.04

THE DAY-TO-DAY: 

• Make and serve alcoholic and non‐alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed

• Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order; including, cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of the bar

• Knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non‐alcoholic selections available

• Ring poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork

• Provide Apprentice Bartender and Bar Porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service and bartending

• Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar

• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

• Perform other job‐related duties as requested

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Is 21+ years of age

• Must have union POUR card

• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays required

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Two (2) years of experience in a bar or similar environment preferred

• Experience working in a similar resort setting preferred
