Midway Diner is looking for an energetic, friendly, and hospitality-driven Bartender to join our team! If you enjoy creating memorable guest experiences, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for great food, drinks, and service, we'd love to meet you.
As a Bartender, you'll create a welcoming atmosphere while preparing quality beverages, serving guests dining at the bar, and supporting the dining room. From breakfast cocktails and specialty coffee drinks to lunch and dinner service, you'll play an important role in delivering the outstanding hospitality Midway Diner is known for.
What You'll Do
- Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality and exceptional service.
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and quality standards.
- Provide full food and beverage service for guests seated at the bar during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Prepare beverages for servers and dining room guests quickly and accurately.
- Verify guest identification and serve alcohol responsibly.
- Keep the bar clean, stocked, organized, and ready for service.
- Monitor inventory and communicate product needs to management.
- Process guest payments accurately while handling cash and credit card transactions.
- Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities.
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
- Work closely with the entire front-of-house team to provide an exceptional experience.
Who We're Looking For
- Previous bartending experience preferred.
- Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and classic cocktails.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Reliable, dependable, and a team player.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Current alcohol service certification (or the ability to obtain).
- Flexible availability (mornings, evenings, weekends, and potential holidays).
- Must meet all state and local requirements for serving alcohol.
- Ability to stand, squat, reach, move around for extended periods, and lift up to 40 pounds.
