Bartender

Job Description:

At the Element by Westin Nashville Airport, our Bartenders craft cocktails, pour beer and wine and serve small bites, other drinks and FUN to our guests who join us at the Bar! As a Bartender, you have an ability to communicate and create a welcoming environment. You WANT to provide our guests with exceptional service, quality drinks and food and timely service ... ALL with a smile!!! You will make suggestions to guests and patrons and remain dedicated to cleanliness, sanitation and high standards of safety. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO EACH SHIFT

• Uphold both cleanliness and safety standards (As a member of the Marriott family of hotels, we take both VERY seriouisly!!!) 
• Welcome and engage guests, making them feel "at home" and creating an enjoyable environment 
• Recommending menu items - both drinks and food items - and ensuring the accuracy of all guest orders 
• Showcase your extensive knowledge of beer, wine and cocktail offerings 
• Deliver orders in a timely manner and continually anticipate the needs of your guests 
• Create memorable experiences by providing exceptional service and working hard to ensure everyone has a good time!
• You will adhere to ALL local and state alcohol laws, procedures and policies
• Processing payment transactions, handling cash and properly close out your shift
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked Bar that always looks appealing to our guests 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Preference given to individuals with 6 or more months of Bartending experience
• Guest service centric focus 
• Must work well with others and function well within a TEAM environment
• 21+ years of age; must possess or be willing/able to secure proper Service Certification from the State
• Can effectively communicate with Management, fell TEAM members, and Guests, alike
• Flexibility and availability to work days, nights and/or weekends

Compensation

• Compensation dependent upon experience, starting at $15.00 per hour
• ALL tips are yours. Cash tips taken immediately and credit card tips paid with your bi-weekly check
