Bartender

Harbour Pointe Golf Club is seeking a Bartender! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.

General Purpose: Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.

Essential Duties:

• Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages
• Assists in cost control
• Maintains inventory records
• Assists department leaders with the creation of seasonal cocktails and the development of the menu
• Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products
• Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed
• Ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management
• Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager
• Performs opening and closing duties, which include, but are not limited to, inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking
• Accountable for checks and cash transactions
• Utilizes the Point-of-Sales-System
• Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events
• Serve catered parties from service or portable bars
• On occasion, will serve meals to guests
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Performs other duties as required

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months related experience and/or training
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g., POSITOUCH and MICROS)

Physical Demands:

• Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands
• Regularly reaches with hands and arms
• Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, tastes, smells, and sits
• Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds
• Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds

Certificates/Licenses:

• ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and current trends in industry and marketplace
• Possesses knowledge of cocktail recipes
• Professional and courteous demeanor
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to company values
• Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients, and vendors
• Fluent in English speaking, writing, and understanding
• Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
