Harbour Pointe Golf Club is seeking a Bartender! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.
General Purpose:
Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.
Essential Duties:
Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages
Assists in cost control
Maintains inventory records
Assists department leaders with the creation of seasonal cocktails and the development of the menu
Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products
Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed
Ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management
Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager
Performs opening and closing duties, which include, but are not limited to, inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking
Accountable for checks and cash transactions
Utilizes the Point-of-Sales-System
Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events
Serve catered parties from service or portable bars
On occasion, will serve meals to guests
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
Regular and reliable attendance
Performs other duties as required
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One to three months related experience and/or training
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Requirements:
Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g., POSITOUCH and MICROS)
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands
ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and current trends in industry and marketplace
Possesses knowledge of cocktail recipes
Professional and courteous demeanor
Demonstrate a strong commitment to company values
Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients, and vendors
Fluent in English speaking, writing, and understanding
Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
