Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Take food and beverage orders and make recommendations when appropriate.
- Verify guest age and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and regulations.
- Accurately process cash, credit card, room charge, and other transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, service areas, and equipment.
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies as needed.
- Monitor guest consumption and exercise responsible alcohol service practices.
- Maintain knowledge of current drink menus, specials, promotions, and hotel offerings.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including inventory and cash reconciliation.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow all company policies, health and safety regulations, and food handling procedures.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous bartending experience preferred.
- Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Must obtain and maintain any required alcohol service certifications.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to work in a busy hospitality environment.
