The Bartender is responsible for maintaining the bar area, serving restaurant and bar patrons at the bar and filling drink orders for the dining room. The Bartender must have extensive knowledge of liquor mixed drinks, beer and wine. Thinking quickly, awareness of surroundings and monitoring patrons for signs that they have had too much alcohol are also skills required to do this position well.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet all guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
Create an atmosphere that allows guests to feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed
Take accurate food and drink orders
Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve beverages to customers
Check identification to ensure customers are legal age to consume alcohol
Process payments efficiently and accurately, as well as balance register
Take inventory and order supplies to ensure facility is well stocked
Plan drink menu and inform customers about new drinks and specials
Bartender/Server position for poolside snack bar with a limited food and beverage menu.
Service is mostly outdoor around a pool deck and patio.
Some limited food prep and cleaning required.
Available to work overtime when required
Other duties as assigned by Manager

Technical and Physical Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must have South Carolina Alcohol Server Training Certificate.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Previous bartending experience required
Customer Service experience preferred
Working knowledge of spirits and related beverage items
Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to bend, stoop, lift, rotate, reach
Ability to lift 50 pounds
