REPORTS TO: Front of House Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Part-time; Seasonal; Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $19.00/hr base plus pooled tips; opportunity for premium rates when working designated events; paid sick and bereavement leave; staff holiday pay; access to participate in a 403(b) retirement plan; complimentary and discounted tickets; institutional professional development opportunities; free parking within walking distance, and additional perks.
LOCATION & SCHEDULE: This is an in-person position reporting to 91 University Place, in Princeton, NJ, with a schedule based on the performance calendar and other departmental needs.
START DATE: This position will begin as soon as possible.
POSITION SUMMARY
McCarter Theatre Center is seeking service-oriented Bartenders to elevate our patrons' concessions experience. Bartenders are essential members of McCarter's Front of House Team, playing a crucial role in enhancing the experience of our patrons by providing exceptional beverage and food service during our performances and special events. As hospitality ambassadors of McCarter, Bartenders help create a warm, efficient, and welcoming atmosphere from the moment the bar opens through final call.
