Job Summary

The Bartender & Server plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing high-quality food and beverage service in a full-service hotel restaurant. This position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Bartender Duties

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty drinks.
  • Engage with guests, providing recommendations and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Verify customer identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies and washing glassware.
  • Process payments, handle cash, and operate POS systems efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines while handling beverages and bar equipment.

Server Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide menu recommendations based on preferences.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
  • Serve meals and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and quality standards.
  • Upsell and promote specials, premium beverages, and additional menu items.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including table settings and side work.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with event service, including banquets and private dining experiences.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in hospitality, food service, or bartending preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service abilities.
  • Certifications: TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) and Food Handler Certification preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift trays, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

  • Indoor setting with moderate to high noise levels.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Frequent interaction with guests, team members, and kitchen staff.
