Bartender

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests and create a warm, hospitable atmosphere.
  
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and restaurant standards.
  
• Take food and beverage orders from guests dining at the bar.
  
• Provide menu recommendations, describe daily specials, and suggest food and beverage pairings.
  
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system and process payments.
  
• Verify guest identification and comply with all New Jersey alcohol service laws.
  
• Prepare drinks for both bar guests and dining room service tickets.
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area.
  
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.
  
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and end-of-shift reconciliation.
  
• Assist with opening, closing, inventory, and side work duties.
  
• Work collaboratively with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service.
  

Qualifications:

• Previous bartending experience in a restaurant, tavern, or bar preferred.
  
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and food service.
  
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
  
• Ability to multitask and maintain composure during busy dinner service.
  
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling.
  
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
