Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a friendly, service-oriented Bartender to join our team.

Job Purpose

The Bartender supports the hotel's food and beverage operations by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while providing exceptional guest service. This position follows established standards for beverage quality, responsible alcohol service, cleanliness, presentation, cash handling, and service while contributing to an efficient and welcoming bar and dining experience.

 

What You'll Do

• Provide friendly, professional service to guests and respond to requests promptly.

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, standards, and guest preferences.

• Verify guest age and follow all applicable laws and responsible alcohol service requirements.

• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary bar, service, and work areas.

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and responsible beverage service requirements.

• Monitor bar inventory and communicate supply, ordering, or replenishment needs.

• Assist with setup, breakdown, stocking, and cleaning of the bar and food and beverage areas.

• Respond appropriately to guest concerns and seek management assistance when needed.

• Work collaboratively with culinary, restaurant, banquet, and hotel teams.

• Follow cash-handling, point-of-sale, and company procedures accurately.

• Support special events, banquets, and other food and beverage operational needs as assigned.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous bartending, food and beverage, or hospitality experience preferred.

• Knowledge of beverage preparation, food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service practices.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and point-of-sale systems.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

• Must meet applicable legal age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.

• Bend, reach, stoop, and lift throughout the workday.

• Lift, carry, push, and pull beverages, glassware, equipment, kegs, and supplies as needed.

• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds depending on the position.

• Work in hot, cold, wet, or otherwise varying environments as required.
