What you will have an opportunity to do:

Fireside is our casual indoor/outdoor lounge, which is a favorite of locals and hotel guests alike - whether it's cocktails on the patio or a glass of local wine by the fire.

We are seeking to add a high-volume experienced bartender with great spirit, cocktail and food knowledge. Wine knowledge is a great plus, being we are in WA wine county. Engaging in conversation and making sure the guest is having the best experience is what we strive for here at Willows Lodge. The ideal candidate knows how to handle a rush and fill the slower times.

Available schedule is Thursday - Monday.

YOUR ROLE

• Takes drink and food orders from guests or servers.
• Serves alcohol responsibly and adheres to Washington State Liquor Laws.
• Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
• Collects money for drinks and/or food served.
• Orders or requisitions liquors and supplies.
• Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
• Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Replenishes bar snacks such as chips, pretzels, and nuts.
• Knows the dining menu and preparations.
• Finalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentation
• Works as a team player to maintain a courteous, professional and helpful attitude towards all guests.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Wage range: $17.13/Hour - $17.13/Hour + Tips, non-exempt
• Eligible for medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and life insurance under our existing group plans
• Eligible for 401(k) retirement plan with employer match following 1 year of service under our existing plan
• 11 days of PTO accrued in the first year based on an employee working 40 hours each week
• Complimentary meal in employee lounge during shift
• Free parking

QUALIFICATIONS

• Availability to work a Thursday - Monday schedule
• Someone with an engaging and welcoming personality
• Someone with 2-4 years of bartending and food service experience
• Someone with knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
• Someone who can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Someone with a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
• Someone with excellent communication skills
• Current WA State food handler's permit
• Current WA State MAST permit

• Previous experience working at a Restaurant in a luxury hotel and or full service resort.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Pleasant and positive personality.
