The BAS Construction Technician is a key member of the Operations team, responsible for the design assistance, implementation, and commissioning of temperature control systems for high-performance HVAC systems in commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. This role ensures that projects are delivered with technical precision while adhering to strict safety and documentation standards.
Control Systems Design: Assist in developing and maintaining the design of complex temperature control systems and related HVAC products.
Planning & Logistics: Actively participate in project planning and scheduling to ensure milestone delivery.
Documentation: Develop, generate, and maintain all project-specific documentation from inception through completion.
System Start-up: Lead the initial start-up phases for building automation systems.
Checkout & Turnover: Execute rigorous system checkouts and manage the formal turnover process to the client.
Lessons Learned: Participate in post-project reviews to identify improvements for future installations.
Customer Empowerment: Provide comprehensive training to customers to ensure they are self-sustaining in managing their new systems.
Safety Leadership: Adhere strictly to Setpoint Systems and customer-specific safety standards. Proactively provide safety awareness and oversight on all work sites.
Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in HVAC systems or specialized technical training.
Interpersonal: Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment with strong leadership and communication skills (both written and oral).
Industry Knowledge: Direct experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
Integration: Experience acting as or working for a Systems Integrator.
Technical Commitment: Willingness to complete extensive product training (provided by the company).
