This position is ideal for an experienced BAS installer or low-voltage electrical professional who enjoys leading field crews while remaining hands‑on in the installation and startup process.The ideal candidate will have strong field installation experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), controls wiring, conduit installation, panel mounting, and startup support, along with the leadership skills necessary to manage and mentor installation teams in the field.This role will work closely with project management, engineering, programming, and commissioning teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and at a high level of quality.What You'll DoField Installation & Technical DutiesLead the installation of BAS and low‑voltage control systemsRun EMT, rigid, flex conduit, and cable tray systemsPerform wire pulling, cable routing, and labelingInstall and mount BAS control panels, controllers, sensors, relays, actuators, and field devicesTerminate low‑voltage wiring and verify proper connectionsRead and interpret blueprints, control drawings, one‑lines, and technical specificationsAssist with BAS startup, checkout, and commissioning activitiesTroubleshoot installation issues and coordinate corrective actionsMaintain accurate project documentation and create field red‑line drawingsCoordinate with electricians, HVAC contractors, and other trades onsiteLeadership & Supervisory DutiesLead and supervise 3–6 person field installation crewsAssign daily tasks and maintain production schedulesEnsure work is completed safely and according to project standardsConduct field quality inspections and enforce installation standardsMentor and train junior installers and apprenticesParticipate in performance evaluations and workforce developmentCoordinate manpower and material needs with project managementCommunicate project progress, delays, and field conditions to leadershipQualifications5+ years of BAS, controls, low‑voltage, or electrical installation experiencePrevious experience leading crews in commercial or industrial environmentsStrong understanding of BAS installation practices and control wiringAbility to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and controls drawingsFamiliarity with HVAC systems and sequence of operations preferredExperience with conduit bending and installationKnowledge of startup and commissioning processes preferredStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage field prioritiesOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferredValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordPreferred ExperienceNiagara FrameworkHoneywellJohnson ControlsSiemensDistechTraneAlertonDelta ControlsKMC ControlsWhat KBS OffersCompetitive compensationMedical, dental, and vision benefitsPaid time off and holidaysCareer advancement opportunitiesTraining in advanced BAS technologiesExposure to cutting‑edge smart building systemsOpportunity to work with a rapidly growing national BAS organizationSupportive team environment focused on safety, quality, and growthIdeal CandidateThis Role Is Perfect For Someone WhoEnjoys both leadership and hands‑on field workTakes pride in quality installationsWants to grow into higher‑level field management or project leadershipHas a passion for technology, controls, and smart buildingsWants to help build and mentor the next generation of BAS installers#J-18808-Ljbffr
