    BAS Controls Specialist – Richmond, VA – $35–$50/hr + Overtime – Leading Building Automation & Energy Controls Company

    Position Details

    • Title: BAS Controls Specialist
    • Location: Richmond, VA
    • Employment Type: Full-Time
    • Compensation: $35.00 – $50.00/hr (Depending on Experience)
    • Overtime: Available + Drive Time Pay
    • Preferred Experience: Tridium Niagara or similar BAS platforms

    Key Responsibilities

    • Commission, troubleshoot, and optimize Building Automation (BAS/DDC) systems in commercial environments
    • Configure and integrate communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks
    • Interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and engineered sequences of operation
    • Install, wire, and configure BAS field devices such as sensors, actuators, relays, and controllers
    • Perform detailed point-to-point checkout and functional system testing
    • Support system startups, client walkthroughs, and operator training
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, daily logs, and service reports
    • Provide responsive customer support both on-site and remotely

    Ideal Candidate

    • 2+ years of hands-on experience with BAS or HVAC control systems
    • Strong understanding of HVAC system operation, control sequences, and field wiring
    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical construction documents
    • Skilled in diagnosing and calibrating control devices and communication networks
    • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service abilities
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean motor-vehicle record
