    BAS Controls Technician – Austin, TX – $30–$45/hr + Benefits – Company Vehicle – Building Automation & HVAC Controls

    About the Opportunity:

    A well-established HVAC and building automation contractor is hiring an experienced BAS Controls Technician to support growing project demand throughout the Greater Austin region. This position is ideal for a technician with strong HVAC controls experience, BAS programming capabilities, and hands-on field expertise across commercial, laboratory, healthcare, and industrial environments.

    Position Details:

    • Title: BAS Controls Technician
    • Location: Greater Austin, TX
    • Work Type: Field-Based | Project-Focused Travel
    • Industry Focus: Healthcare, Commercial Buildings, Labs, Research Facilities, Industrial Sites

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Program, start up, and commission HVAC control systems and BAS equipment
    • Execute project tasks professionally and ensure timely completion
    • Support the controls and mechanical service departments with field troubleshooting
    • Oversee project reviews, closeout procedures, and weekly reporting
    • Track job costs, monthly projections, and documentation accuracy
    • Prepare submittals, O&M manuals, test documents, and required records
    • Participate in weekly coordination and production meetings
    • Collaborate with subcontractors and assist site leadership as needed
    • Maintain adherence to jobsite safety guidelines and company standards
    • Communicate effectively to resolve technical challenges and meet project deadlines

    Ideal Candidate:

    • 5+ years of hands-on HVAC controls or BAS installation experience
    • Niagara AX or N4 Certification (required)
    • BACnet programming or configuration experience (preferred)
    • Knowledge of Distech, Phoenix Controls, Aircuity, or Flow Control systems
    • Ability to pass background and drug screening requirements

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Hourly Pay: $30.00 – $45.00/hr (Depending on Experience)
