A well-established mechanical and automation contractor in the Greater Los Angeles area is seeking a BAS Project Engineer to support its expanding operations. This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on Building Automation Systems (BAS) experience—especially those who have worked beyond basic VAV commissioning.

Position:

• Title: BAS Project Engineer
• Location: San Dimas, CA (Project-based travel throughout the LA metro)
• Status: Full-Time | On-Site | Union (Local 105)

Responsibilities:

• Track and oversee project milestones, tasks, and deliverables
• Support the Project Management team with daily coordination and scheduling
• Prepare and process RFIs and Change Orders
• Interpret and review contract drawings, plans, and project documentation
• Maintain submittal documentation and ensure updates are accurately recorded
• Communicate regularly with clients and project teams throughout the lifecycle
• Assist with installation planning and the technical execution of BAS projects

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience as a BAS Project Engineer or similar controls engineering position
• Familiarity with Honeywell or Schneider Controls (preferred)
• Comfortable working with drawings, field teams, and control documentation
• Union experience with Local 105 or willingness to join
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Offered Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $90,000 (DOE)
