LINK Staffing is recruiting an experienced BAS Controls Project Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with an established commercial HVAC and building automation company in Houston.
This position will manage Building Automation System projects from planning and estimating through installation, commissioning and final closeout.
You will be responsible for project schedules, labor planning, materials, financial performance, customer communication and coordination between field technicians, subcontractors and internal teams.
This is not a general construction Project Manager position. Direct experience with Building Automation Systems, DDC controls or commercial HVAC controls is required.

Manage assigned Building Automation System projects from initial planning through completion
Develop project schedules, budgets, labor plans and material requirements
Coordinate technicians, subcontractors, vendors, customers and internal departments
Prepare estimates for BAS construction projects and change orders
Track project costs, labor usage, materials and financial performance
Identify technical, financial and scheduling risks before they affect project results
Lead project meetings and provide clear status updates
Ensure required equipment, materials and manpower are available
Manage multiple projects and customer relationships simultaneously
Review project drawings, specifications, sequences and control requirements
Support system commissioning, troubleshooting and project closeout
Address field issues and coordinate corrective action
Maintain accurate project documentation
Support customer meetings, sales efforts and business-development activities when needed
Help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule and within budget
Build long-term relationships with customers, contractors and project partners
At least five years of experience in Building Automation Systems, DDC controls or commercial HVAC controls
Project management experience within the BAS or controls industry
Experience managing multiple projects, schedules and customer relationships
Experience estimating BAS projects, labor, equipment or change-order work
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC and building control systems
Knowledge of electrical controls, control sequences and project documentation
Ability to manage project budgets, labor, materials and financial performance
Strong leadership, organization and decision-making skills
Excellent customer communication and relationship-management abilities
Ability to recognize and escalate project risks quickly
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project-management tools
Valid drivers license and ability to travel to Houston-area jobsites as required
