BAS Sales Engineer – Mission Critical / Data Centers
Location: Dallas, TX
Type: Full-Time

About the Opportunity: We are seeking a driven and technically minded BAS Sales Engineer to support the growth of our Building Automation and Critical Facilities business throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market. This role focuses on developing and managing relationships with owners, operators, general contractors, engineering firms, and commissioning teams involved in hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center projects.

This position is ideal for a sales professional who understands the technical side of building automation systems and enjoys working on complex, high-profile projects where uptime, reliability, and performance are critical.

What You'll Do
  • Develop new business opportunities within the mission-critical and data center market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with owners, consulting engineers, general contractors, electrical contractors, and technology partners.
  • Identify opportunities for BAS, controls integration, EPMS integration, monitoring, and critical facility solutions.
  • Lead project discovery meetings and develop solution-based sales strategies.
  • Review plans, specifications, and sequences of operation to identify project opportunities.
  • Prepare estimates, proposals, budgets, and technical presentations for clients.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in design reviews, preconstruction meetings, and client presentations.
  • Manage opportunities from initial pursuit through project award and turnover.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends within data centers, critical infrastructure, and building automation.

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), Controls, HVAC Controls, Systems Integration, or a related technical sales environment.
  • Experience selling or supporting solutions involving BAS, BMS, EPMS, SCADA, HVAC Controls, or critical facility infrastructure.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, HVAC equipment, controls architecture, and integration protocols.
  • Experience working with consulting engineers, contractors, and end users.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing a sales pipeline in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience
  • Mission-critical or data center project experience.
  • Knowledge of BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Delta Controls, Distech, Honeywell, or similar systems.
  • Experience with power monitoring, electrical infrastructure, or integrated facility management systems.
  • Familiarity with commissioning, startup, and operational readiness activities within critical facilities.
