Position: Baseball Assistant Coach

Manchester University is seeking a passionate and driven Baseball Assistant Coach to help build and sustain a competitive NCAA Division III program. This role partners closely with the Head Coach to develop student-athletes academically and athletically while contributing to recruiting, operations, and team success. The ideal candidate is committed to student development, sportsmanship, and fostering a positive team culture on and off the field.

What You'll Do:

  • Support all aspects of the baseball program, including coaching, recruiting, scheduling, and team management
  • Identify, recruit, and retain student-athletes aligned with academic success and program values
  • Monitor and support student-athlete eligibility and academic progress in partnership with campus resources
  • Assist with practice planning, game preparation, and player development
  • Coordinate travel, equipment, inventory, and operational logistics
  • Contribute to fundraising initiatives and game day management
  • Promote a culture of accountability, sportsmanship, and adherence to NCAA and conference regulations

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Coaching and/or collegiate playing experience preferred; NCAA Division III experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse student populations
  • Commitment to professional development and continued learning
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and willingness to complete required certifications
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
