Description
A financial services company is seeking a Basel III SME for a short-term project focusing on a Basel III gap analysis and remediation plan.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Remote (preference to candidates in Charlotte, North Carolina or Atlanta, Georgia who are willing to work hybrid)
Responsibilities:
- Support the client on a Basel III gap analysis and remediation plan
- Assess current state:
- Capital calculations (CET1, Tier 1, RWA)
- Regulatory reporting (FR Y‑9C HC‑R, Call Report RC‑R)
- Data flows, mapping, and controls
- Identify gaps across:
- Data sourcing
- Calculation logic
- Reporting consistency
- Deliver:
- Gap assessment
- Remediation roadmap
- Potential to support remediation execution if extended
Qualifications:
- Strong Basel III experience (hands-on):
- CET1, Tier 1, Total Capital
- Risk-Weighted Assets (credit, market, operational)
- Experience with FR Y‑9C (HC‑R) and/or Call Report (RC‑R)
- Proven Ability to perform:
- Gap analysis / diagnostic assessments
- Regulatory reporting reviews and remediation planning
- Strong understanding of data flows, mapping, and reconciliations across capital reporting
Desired Qualifications:
Axiom (Adenza) experience:
- Data mapping, rule logic, and report generation
- CCAR (FR Y-14A/Q/M) exposure
- Experience at large US bank, regulatory program, or top consulting firm
