BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring an enthusiastic, dependable, and energetic After-School Basketball Coach to lead engaging basketball programs for elementary-aged students in Chicago, IL.

This is a great opportunity for a basketball coach, former player, teacher, youth sports instructor, camp counselor, college student, or anyone passionate about basketball and working with children.

Position Details

• Part-time, after-school position

• Schedule: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM

• 1.5-hour sessions

• $37.50 per session ($25 per hour)

• Monday through Friday

• No weekends

• No lesson planning required

• Curriculum and equipment provided

• In-person position in Chicago

Program Focus

Students will develop:

• Basketball fundamentals

• Dribbling, passing, and shooting

• Footwork and coordination

• Teamwork and sportsmanship

• Confidence and game awareness

• Positive communication and leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging basketball sessions for elementary students

• Teach age-appropriate basketball fundamentals and skills

• Follow BBA#39;s structured curriculum and activities

• Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive behavior

• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment

• Supervise and engage students throughout each session

• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership

Qualifications
