The primary function of a Sport Coordinator is supporting the volunteer coaches on a week-to-week basis. Additionally, Sport Coordinators should be willing and able to assume the role of a coach if necessary on a weekly basis.Duties include the following:
  • Be a resource to the coaches with needed tasks
  • Ensure games start on time. 
  • Understand & enforce the i9 Sports rules books ensuring a fun, learning, and safety environment for all players
  • Keep time and score during the game manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience
  • Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
  • Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
  • Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
Details
  • League play for basketball begins September 20, 2025, and runs through November 1, 2025 for ages 5-14
  • Games will be played at Madison Street United Methodist Church
  • Time 11:30 am-5:30 pm
  • Pay $150 per Saturday
