    Position SummaryThe Batch Plant Operator is responsible for overseeing the batching concrete including but not limited to mix designs, slump, directions, load size, truck arrival and departure. The Batch Plant Operator will coordinate closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and schedule goals are met.Key Responsibilities

    Daily plant inspections include but not limited to, proper greasing, belt training, compressor functions, fluid levels and gate operations.Track material stockpile quantities, monitor nitrogen and silos for adequate material supply.Preparing pre-task plans, discussing daily work with crew, reporting safety concerns to the foreman and superintendent and safety department

    Control temperature, slump and conformity of varying mix designs and load sizes.

    Daily testing of loads for accuracyAssist batch plant crew with maintenance, upkeep and cleaning of the batch plant and work yard daily.Prepare daily reports PTP, logs, and documentation to support compliance and project record-keeping.

    Qualifications

    Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.Strong safety awareness and commitment to quality

    Operate automated Central Batch Plant (experience with Command Alcon preferred).Can operate a front-end loader, manlift, forklift.Able to work at heights exceeding 100 feet.Able to stand and walk for shifts exceeding 14 hours.Utilize basic Windows and Excel on batch plant computer.Able to read and write in English (Spanish is a bonus).Communicate verbally via phone, walkie talkie, and face to face in English (Spanish is a bonus).Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.Can create and follow schedules and reports
