Job Position: Batch Plant Operator

Location: King George, VA 22485

Pay Rate: $30.00/hr

Shift: 1st Shift

Description: General Labor Services is seeking a Batch Plant Operator for our client in King George, VA:

The Batch Plant Operator is responsible for producing high-quality concrete by accurately batching materials, operating and monitoring the concrete batch plant, and ensuring all products meet company and customer specifications. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality control, equipment maintenance, and efficient production.

Job Duties:
Operate and monitor the concrete batch plant to produce concrete according to mix designs and customer specifications.
Accurately measure and batch raw materials, including cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures.
Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on batching equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Monitor plant performance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues as needed.
Maintain accurate production records, inventory levels, and batch reports.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, drivers, quality control personnel, and supervisors to ensure timely deliveries.
Follow all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and quality control procedures.
Keep the batch plant clean, organized, and operating efficiently.

Qualifications:
Previous experience operating a concrete batch plant or similar industrial equipment is preferred.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate batching and product quality.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on plant equipment.
Excellent verbal communication and teamwork skills.
Basic computer skills for operating batching software and maintaining production records.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Required Certification:
Must possess or obtain certification as a Concrete Batcher or Concrete Technician through the State of Virginia or the American Concrete Institute (ACI), as required by Virginia regulations.
