Position Overview
American Armor Gloves is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Batching Supervisor to lead daily batching operations within our advanced nitrile glove manufacturing facility. The Batching Supervisor will oversee the preparation, production, and quality execution of nitrile latex compounds and related materials while providing leadership, direction, and support to the batching team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong manufacturing leadership skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage changing priorities, and a commitment to developing a high-performing team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Production & Operations Leadership
- Lead and supervise daily batching operations to ensure production requirements are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures.
- Coordinate daily workflow and priorities to support production schedules, manufacturing demands, and operational goals.
- Ensure accurate preparation of nitrile latex batches and other required materials according to approved formulations, specifications, and batch requirements.
- Review batch documentation and verify accuracy of material calculations, measurements, mixing procedures, and production records.
- Monitor batching processes and ensure compliance with quality requirements, process specifications, and company standards.
- Identify and resolve operational issues impacting production, quality, equipment performance, or workflow.
- Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to support manufacturing objectives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist with process optimization, troubleshooting activities, and implementation of updated procedures and work instructions.
Employee Leadership & Accountability
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, training, and support to Batching Technicians.
- Establish clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and job performance.
- Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and development opportunities.
- Promote accountability and ensure employees follow established procedures, safety requirements, and company policies.
- Address employee performance concerns, attendance issues, and policy violations in partnership with department leadership and Human Resources when appropriate.
Staffing, Scheduling & Timekeeping Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and production coverage.
- Coordinate shift coverage, planned absences, overtime needs, and schedule adjustments to meet production demands.
- Monitor attendance and ensure accurate timekeeping records for assigned employees.
- Review and approve employee time entries in accordance with company procedures.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all batching activities comply with company safety policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain compliance with ISO standards, documentation requirements, and manufacturing procedures.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure employees properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support internal testing, process evaluations, and product development activities as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate technical degree, manufacturing, chemical, polymer, or related technical education preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial processing, laboratory operations, or chemical compounding.
- Prior supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience preferred.
- Experience with rubber, plastic, latex, polymer, or chemical processing environments preferred.
- Experience working with production documentation, specifications, and quality requirements preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production operations.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, formulations, specifications, work instructions, and safety documentation.
- Strong mathematical ability with accurate measurement and calculation skills.
- Ability to analyze production information and make sound operational decisions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing production demands and business priorities.

Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, including:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Bending, reaching, climbing, lifting, and performing repetitive movements.
- Working around manufacturing equipment and production environments.
- Reading and interpreting written documentation and safety information.
- Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Performing tasks requiring visual awareness, attention to detail, and safe equipment operation.
Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing environment and may require flexibility to support production needs, including extended hours, overtime, weekends, or schedule adjustments. The Batching Supervisor must be available to respond to operational needs and ensure production continuity.
