Description of Work
Performs a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks related to the maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and appearance of Calf Pasture Beach and surrounding recreational areas during the season. Work includes maintaining beach grounds, park facilities, public restrooms, pavilions, comfort stations, picnic areas, walkways, parking areas, and other public-use spaces. Duties involve, but are not limited to, collecting litter and trash, cleaning and stocking restrooms, emptying receptacles, monitoring facilities for cleanliness and safety, and assisting with the general upkeep and beautification of the beach and recreational grounds.
Employees in this class support full-time staff in maintaining beach facilities and related structures, including buildings, shelters, benches, picnic tables, fences, bleachers, water fountains, and other recreational equipment. Incumbents may also assist with event setup and breakdown, respond to routine maintenance needs, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to demonstrate the ability to perform manual labor and semi-skilled tasks involving the care, maintenance, cleaning, and beautification of public grounds, beach areas, landscaped spaces, and public facilities.
Related experience in parks maintenance, custodial work, groundskeeping, or general labor is preferred.
