QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Must meet physical requirements
- Must have experience working with special education students
- Must function as part of a multi-disciplinary team in meeting physical and emotional needs of special education children in a highly structured setting.
- Familiarity with evidenced based and best practices working with students with emotional impairments
- Excellent communication skills
- Patient, kind, and caring demeanor
- Excellent attendance and punctuality necessary

DUTIES:
- Operate and maintain Reset Rooms and Problem-Solving Rooms
- Calculate and distribute to staff weekly statistics regarding crisis intervention
- Generate stat templates for classroom staff
- Calculate and distribute quarterly and annual statistics for behavioral goals, parent/teacher conferences, and annual reports, PBIS
- Lead interventions for the safety of students and staff
- Provide classroom Tier 1 behavior supports and modeling to classroom staff
- Coordinate behavioral interventions for students
- Participate in the design and follow through of student policies and procedures as they pertain to crisis
- Attend and participate in all program meetings
- Assist in in-service training for new staff
- Provide student data, initiate/attends Program Intervention Review Meetings when appropriate
- Identify with supervisor student oriented activities when time allows
- Confer with and utilize Behavior Specialist's for ongoing training and consultation regarding all program components
- Immediately provide information to supervisors regarding emergency interventions with students
- Complete required paperwork accurately and timely, including CPI documentation
- Stay current with all student behavior plans maintained in Beacon shared Drive
- Oversee and provide guidance and expectations to students assigned to the Responsibility Room
- Implement trauma-informed/resiliency based strategies & interventions and building wide PBIS
- Communicate regularly with student's social workers and behavior specialists regarding student behavior
- Assist in planning of progress parties and incentives for students
