Prepares hair arrangement and cosmetics for deceased in accordance with families instructions. Restores deceased to a life-like appearance as closely as possible.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manicures fingernails using files and nail polish
Performs grooming tasks such as arching and plucking eyebrows and removing facial hair
Washes and dries bodies, using germicidal soap, as required
Maintains hygiene and cleanliness of equipment (i.e., brushes, dryers, rollers etc.) and area where duties are performed
Records personal effects delivered with body and information about deceased, as required
Shampoos, waves, presses, curls, brushes hair following photography of deceased and/or description obtained from client family
Assists embalmer in restoring disfigured or maimed deceased person(s), as required
Engages in and supports company initiatives
Stays current with Dignity University courses
May assist with or may perform the function of dressing and placing deceased in casket, as required
May be required to provide all equipment including but not limited to hair dryers, cosmetics, hair products, flat irons, dyes, combs, and brushes
Performs other duties as directed by management
MINIMUM Requirements
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
Minimum of six (6) months Cosmetology experience
Licenses
Must hold state required Cosmetology license, where required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of physiognomy (the study of the muscles of the face), color scale, re-creative artistry, and chemistry - not required for Beautician Only
Previous customer service experience
High level of compassion and integrity
Good communication skills
Problem solving skills

Salary: $23.00/Hr - $28.00/Hr
