Overview:

The Beauty Field Trainer delivers beauty application training techniques, product knowledge and selling skills through multiple training mediums including one on one, small group classes, and digital technology that elevates the skill set of the Beauty Associates and creates a best-in-class experience for Customers that drives profitable sales and store traffic.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver formalized trainings for Beauty associates and Beauty Managers using various methods of delivery and media (classroom, virtual, quick guides, job aids, video, systems and eLearning).  Ensures education content is aligned to JCPenney core values associated with respect, inclusion and diversity.
  • Research and remain current Beauty industry trends. Leads by example in all interactions, both internally and Customer facing. Is passionate about Beauty, embodies, and articulates the vision of the brands through all interactions.
  • Evaluate current delivery methods for effectiveness, participation and engagement and adapt delivery methodologies to improve knowledge transfer, retention and skill applicability.
  • Schedule and coordination of training classes, registration, attendance records, preparation of materials and completion records. Manages travel and expenses per company policies.
  • Utilizes outstanding communication skills to build strong relationships with business partners and subject matter experts across the organization to deliver educational solutions to meet business obnjectives.
  • Bring to life Beauty Brand Events in selected locations through selling and being the voice of the brand for customers. Supporting selected events up to 2 Saturdays per month.
  • Partners with leader, Beauty Managers, and Beauty Field Manager on identifying specific training opportunities through business results and benchmarking.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

  • Skilled in delivering clear and concise message and content. Delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. For example, listens attentively and takes an interest. Keeps others well informed; conveys information clearly, concisely, and professionally when speaking or writing.
  • Highly profiicent in the use of MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and some understanding of eLearning software and standards.
  • Proven track record of organizing work and problem solving.
  • Strong communication with the ability to build relationships; strong presentation and facilitation skills to individuals/groups at all levels of an organization. Outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, exercise follow-through and demonstrate professional initiative on any matters presented whether they are inside or outside the normal scope of the role.
  • Works well remotely under guidance but not constant supervision.
  • Role requires up to 80% travel.
  • Role requires some selected weekend shifts each month.
