Before and After School Group Leader Assistant/Early Learning Professional

Location(s): Needed teacher assistants for new fall school year 2026/2027 starting in August.

Elementary schools , Cora Rice, Glenarden Woods, Spellman and JP Hoyer

Pay: $15.00

Hours: Monday through Friday Cora Rice 7am-9:30am pm shift 2:30pm-6pm

Glenarden and Spellman hours am shift 7am-9:30am pm shift 3:30pm-6pm

JP Hoyer hours 7am-8:30am pm shift 3pm-6pm

As an AlphaBEST Group LeaderAssistant, you'll help shape meaningful before and after school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive.

We're looking for an early learning professional who:

• Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment
• Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely
• Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed

In this role, you will:

• Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
• 3-6 months childcare experience in a license setting
