Before and After School Teacher Assistant

Location(s): Prince William County Schools in Woodbridge/Dumfries, Haymarket, Gainesville, Bristow, and Manassas

Pay: Starting at $14.00

Hours: No weekends! The before-school hours are from 6:00 to 9:15 AM, and the after-school hours are from 3:00 to 6:30 PM.

As an AlphaBEST Group Leader Assistant, you'll help shape meaningful beforeand after-school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive.

We're looking for someone who:

• Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment
• Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely
• Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed

In this role, you will:

• Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work in a setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
• $14.00/hour
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
• Must pass a Background Screening and Central Registry check
