Department Human Services Recreation Division Salary Grade MISC 2 Reports To Childcare Services Manager FLSA Status Non-Exempt Appointed By Town Manager Date 2025 GENERAL SUMMARYUnder the supervision of the Childcare ServicesManager and a Recreation Supervisor Group Leaders report daily to the SiteCoordinator at one of Concords elementary schools. Group Leaders are responsible for the supervision andmanagement of students grades K-5 in the program prior to the start of theschool day. Before School Hours M-F 730A-9A. Flexible Schedule available. After School and Before School positionscan be combined.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSExternal and internal applicants as well asposition incumbents who are or become disabled as defined under the AmericansWith Disabilities Act must be able to perform the essential job functions aslisted either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation tobe determined by management on a case-by-case basis.- Ability to work in a high energy environment with students grades K-5.- Create an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging for all students and staff.- Implement and assist with planning of curriculum meeting the social-emotional physical and intellectual needs of the children based on the goals philosophy and general curriculum plan of the School Age Childcare Program.- Provide written program plans for the Site Coordinator and Childcare Manager as requested.- Ensure the health and safety of children through constant supervision arrangement of space proper maintenance of equipment and knowledge of emergency procedures.- Maintain written records of individual progress with the assistance of Site Coordinator to be reviewed annually.- Communicate when asked with parents and other staff through daily contact.- Attend and participate in monthly staff meetings and professional development training as required by EEC and the Childcare Manager. - Attend conferences and workshops to achieve personal goals and promote professional growth and to meet professional development goals.- Show awareness of specific individual health plans and comply with plans including required training EPI pen administration insulin pump operation etc..- Exhibit knowledge about and adhere to program policies and procedures including those for emergencies medication administration suspected abuseneglect and referrals.- Operate the classroomsite in compliance with EEC regulations DOE Standards and QRIS requirements.- Comply with personnel policies of the Town of Concord Concord Recreation and EECChildcare Programs.KNOWLEDGESKILLS & ABILITIES- Ability to work in a high-energy environment with children grades K-5.- Working knowledge of child development and teaching strategies.- Good written and oral communication skills.RECOMMENDED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Must be 18 years of age or have a HS diploma - Must have a suitable BRC- Must meet EEC work experience and education requirements for Group Leader Qualifications - Bachelor Degree in Education or related field preferred- Must have completed or complete within 2 months of hire EEC Essentials Training- Must comply with EEC Background Records Check regulations and Professional Qualification Registry requirements.- Must attend staff orientationWORKINGCONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDSExternal and internal applicants as well asposition incumbents who are or become disabled as defined under the AmericansWith Disabilities Act must be able to perform the physical demands as listedeither unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to bedetermined by management on a case-by-case basis.Employee is regularly required to walk stand sit talk andhear.
