Essential Job Functions

Responsible for the planning and implementation of specific recreation activities in the Early Birds before school program from 7am - 9:15am on MCPS school days. Duties include but are not limited to, the planning and implementation of sports and/or crafts, activities and clean up. May accompany and transport children on offsite field trips as scheduled. Attend staff and programming meetings as scheduled.

Qualifications

Skills in general recreation programs and some knowledge of specific activities as related to the position.

EXPERIENCE:

3-6 months experience working with children in a recreational setting. Knowledge of sports and games and some implementation required.

EDUCATION:

High School student and/or at least 15 years of age. Child development class a plus.
