Pay Rate: $27.24 per hour - $35.50 per hour based on relevant, job-alike experience
Incentive Program: This position is eligible for up to $1,000.00 in bonus and/or stipend pay if specific criteria are met.
General Description:
The Before School Site Coordinator plans, supervises, and leads activities for students in grades K-5 in a before-school program setting. This role requires flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to meeting the needs of children. The Before School Site Coordinator is required to work 5 days per week and attend periodic meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, and lead student activities for multi-age, multi-grade grouping of students.
- Must be flexible, creative, and committed to meeting the needs of children in grades K-Grade 5 in a before-school program setting.
- The position may require extra hours for meetings with the Extended Day Site Coordinator and/or Assistant Director and/or Director of Community Education.
- Must maintain daily attendance records.
- Responsible for collecting program tuition payments.
- Responsible for communicating with families enrolled in the Before School Program.
- Ensure a smooth transition for students from the Before School Program to the start of the regular school day.
- Implement student and program accommodations as appropriate.
- Follow and implement student behavior support plans, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and/or 504 Plans as provided by the District and/or Extended Day Site Coordinator, and/or Assistant Director or Director of Community Education as appropriate/applicable
- If needed, maintain student data as directed by school service providers.
- Supervise, train, and review performance of Before School Program staff.
- The Before School Site Coordinator may also be assigned other duties by the Site Coordinator and/or Community Education Assistant Director and/or Director.
- The position may require extra hours for planning and/or participating in family and program events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 months of experience working with school-age children preferred, not required OR
- Associates Degree and 9 months of experience working with school-age children preferred, not required OR
- 12 months of experience working with school-age children and working on a degree in a related field
- 12 months of leadership experience required
- CPR/First Aid Certification
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Professional Commitment
The Before School Site Coordinator is required to work 5 days per week.
In addition to their regularly scheduled hours the Before School Site Coordinator may be asked to attend the following periodic meetings:
- Monthly meetings with the Extended Day Site Coordinator, and/or Community Education Assistant Director and/or Director.
- Attend annual mandatory program orientation and training days.
