Cross Country Education is seeking a compassionate Behavior Interventionist (BII) to provide hands-on support to preschool students and help create positive, meaningful progress through individualized behavioral support in the Palos Verdes, CA area throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
Position Overview
- Provide 1:1 or classroom-based behavioral support to preschool students using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive skill development.
- Support students across educational activities and routines, including behavior management, toileting, curriculum modifications, and other individualized needs.
- Observe, collect, and accurately document student behavioral data to monitor progress and help inform intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement consistent behavioral supports while maintaining a patient, positive, and supportive approach with students.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; 2+ years of full-time ABA-based behavioral support experience with preschool-aged children required
- Minimum 40-hour Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) seminar or workshop training required, with knowledge of ABA techniques, child development, and classroom behavior management strategies
- CPI Certification preferred, and valid Driver's License
- Experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorders preferred
