Behavior Interventionist - Madrona Day Treatment

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is seeking a Behavior Interventionist to support students enrolled in the Madrona Day Treatment program. In this role, you will provide behavioral and therapeutic support within structured, school‑based treatment settings. You will work closely with students and program staff to support emotional regulation, safety, and skill development. Primary Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field OR Four or more year's relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience OR applicants internal to KMHS who have demonstrated competency in the specific required skillsets for the position.
Experience working with children within the structure of an intensive, milieu-based program.
LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.
Per RCW 28A.400.303, employees of contractors with school districts that "have regularly scheduled unsupervised access to children" must go through FBI fingerprinting.
Madrona requires a Food Handler's Permit, preferred for Sequoia Program and Restorative School.
Preferred Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: Intermediate (minimum 3 years of job-related experience)
Experience working with the Special Education population is strongly preferred.
Educational or classroom management experience preferred.
The capacity to work well with children and families.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment, including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment: Frequent mobility and/or sitting is required for extended periods.
Mental/Physical Requirements: While performing the job duties, the employee is required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, or listen. Peripheral vision is also required for this position.
