Position Summary The Behavior Interventionist provides behavioral and instructional support to students receiving services through Maddox Hill Center (MHC). Behavior Interventionists assist with the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies in classroom settings and small group environments to support positive behavior, skill development, and student engagement. Behavior Interventionists typically support students in intensive behavioral situations and assist with small group instruction, life skills development, and classroom routines. This role works collaboratively with Special Education Teachers, Behavior Tech nicians, and other MHC staff to support student success. Essential Job Duties Student Support • Provide behavioral and instructional support to students in classroom and small group settings. • Assist with implementation of behavior strategies and classroom management techniques. • Support development of communication, social, and life skills. • Assist students with transitions, routines, and daily activities. Program Implementation • Support classroom instruction and learning activities under the guidance of the MHC leadership team. • Assist with preparing materials and organizing instructional supports. • Reinforce positive behaviors and appropriate social interactions. Behavior Support • Implement behavior support strategies as directed by clinical staff. • Assist with monitoring student behavior and reporting concerns to supervisory staff. • Help maintain consistency in behavioral expectations across classroom settings. Collaboration • Work collaboratively with all members of the team. • Participate in staff meetings and training activities. • Communicate student progress and concerns with the team. Student Safety and Well -Being • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for students. • Follow safety protocols and behavioral procedures established by the program. • Ensure appropriate supervision of students at all times. Required Knowledge , Skills & Abilities • High school diploma or equivalent required . • Experience working with children or individuals with behavioral or developmental needs preferred. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
