Job Summary
The General Education Behavior Specialist will provide districtwide support to school sites in the area of student behavior, classroom management, and positive behavior intervention. This position will support general education students and staff through consultation, coaching, professional learning, observation, data collection, and the development of proactive and responsive behavior supports. The General Education Behavior Specialist will work collaboratively with site administrators, teachers, counselors, social workers, paraeducators, campus supervisors, families, and district staff to support students experiencing behavioral, social-emotional, attendance, or school engagement challenges. This position will assist school teams in identifying student needs, implementing tiered behavior supports, strengthening classroom systems, and developing strategies that promote safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments. Requirements / Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree in Psychology, Education, Educational Psychology, Social Work, Behavior Health or related field. 2. Must be certified, or become certified, by the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) in non-violent crisis interventions (NCPI) as a trainer 3. Must be certified, or become certified, as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) 4. Must have a valid California Education Specialist Instruction credential, or a Pupil Personnel Services credential, or related credential PREFERRED QUALIFICATION: 1. Master's degree in Counseling, Education or Related Field 2. Minimum of two (2) years experience PLEASE NOTE ONLY COMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED
