Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Specialist to join our team at Porter-Starke Services, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit community health center serving adults, families, adolescents, and children with mental health or substance abuse issues. As a Behavior Specialist, you will work with our residential housing facility, LIFE House, to provide clients with a safe and therapeutic environment, assisting with daily tasks, and promoting independent living skills.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate interventions related to independent living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and grocery shopping, for residents

• Assist patients and their engagement with support systems to enhance recovery efforts

• Coordinate specialty referrals and communicate with primary care providers

• Assist with keeping medication sheets up to date and provide direct client care

• Develop and revise treatment plans as needed

• Enforce rules and regulations for appropriate conduct of consumers and visitors

• Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

• Associate's/Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human services discipline is required

• Experience working with program population and program environment is preferred

• Must possess a current valid driver's license to operate an automobile

Benefits:

• SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: +$2/evenings, +$4/nights, +$4/weekends and they can be STACKED (work a midnight weekend and make an additional $8/hour!)

• STARTING PAY: From $19.57 and up based on experience
